Electronic Cigars by Veppo

If you are trying to stop smoking, or are tired of bad breath and other problems associated with smoking conventional tobacco products, then electronic cigars may be of some use to you. Typically, these devices will deliver the same amount of nicotine and flavoring associated with conventional cigars without the smoke and cancer causing agents. Even though there is still a good bit of controversy about the long term usefulness of electronic cigars, they are very popular in many countries.

Types of Electronic Cigars

At the current time, there are at least 17 different manufacturers of electronic cigars. Regardless of the company, each cigar has the same basic features. While some companies create electronic cigars that look just like a real one, others design them to look more like a ball point pen or magic marker. Some of the main elements include:

Mouthpiece that is used for inhaling vaporized liquid

A chamber that holds liquid propylene glycol and nicotine

A heating plate that vaporizes the liquid

A battery that serves as power source for the heating element or atomizer

Even though electric cigars must have all these components, they differ in terms of length of use. For example, you can purchase electronic cigars that can only be used for a certain number of times before disposing of them. You can also purchase electronic cigars that will allow you to replace the battery and refill the liquid. During the process of deciding which type you want, it will be best to consider how many cigars you normally smoke each day, and then determine which unit will be best for your needs.

Advantage of Using Electronic Cigars

Many people switch to electronic cigars because they can obtain their nicotine fix without inhaling carcinogenic substances at the same time. Others that need to smoke during the day in places where it is not allowed also find that electronic cigars enable them to achieve their goal. Depending on the amount of nicotine amounts that you choose, this device can also help you avoid your addiction to this substance.

Disadvantages of Using Electronic Cigars

For the most part, the research on electronic cigars is not consistent. Some studies indicate that they are useful for smoking cessation, while others find that the amount of nicotine delivered is too varied to make these devices useful. Unfortunately, some tests have also indicated that some fluids used in electronic cigars contain carcinogenic compounds. Perhaps it can be best said that you will be well served by researching each brand carefully before making a purchasing decision.

Veppo Electronic Cigar Pack

The Best Electronic Cigars

Overall, most consumers seem to prefer the Veppo e-Cigar. These units tend to look the most like real cigars, as well as produce the closest flavor. At the same time, Veppo units are also known for being much cheaper than real cigars. For example, a single unit costs about $30.00 and takes the place of approximately 20 regular cigars. As an added bonus, you can purchase Veppo e-Cigars that mimic a wide range of cigar flavors including menthol.

When you need to stop smoking, there is nothing worse than not having something to reach for to satisfy your craving for nicotine. Electric cigars will provide you with nicotine as well as a smoke-free environment while you are using them. As may be expected, if you want to save money on cigars, purchasing one single electronic cigar tends to be much cheaper. At the same time, you can always look forward to cleaner teeth and fewer hygiene problems when you use electronic cigars instead of conventional tobacco products.

There are not many people who are able to put the words “top quality cigars” and “American made cigars” in the same sentence, after all, who could compete with Cuban made cigars?

While it’s true that the best cigars come from Cuba (and close runners up come from places like Nicaragua, Honduras or the Dominican Republic), settling for an American crafted cigar does not mean that you are limited in taste and texture to something that you will find in the checkout line of a convenience store or in packs of five behind the tobacco counter at Wal-Mart.

In fact, there are actually some very well made cigars that could easily compete with their Cuban or Central American made brothers, if only you know what it is that you are looking for. You may have to take a little extra time to track these particular brands down – in fact, you may need to check out an actual tobacco or cigar shop or possibly even order in order to find these particular beauties, but in the end, you will be very glad that you did.

Top Three American Made Cigars

Sabor Cubano. A Sabor Cubano cigar is something that any true cigar connoisseur will enjoy. Made by Luis Sanchez, Sabor Cubanos are rolled by professional tobacco rollers (or “Tabaqueros” as they are known in Cuba) who worked in Cuba itself before coming to the United States. The head of the Sabor Cubano team is an experienced gentleman by the name of Leo Peraza who has 46 years experience rolling cigars in his native Cuba.

Sabor Cubano Cigars

A Sabor Cubano’s construction is nearly flawless; perfectly formed and with a dark, oily wrapper that is completely natural and will not leave black marks on your lips or teeth. The Sabor Cubanos have binders from Ecuador and are filled with a mix of tobacco from Nicaragua and the Dominican republic that combine to give a rich, full, well-rounded flavor; definitely a smoke you are going to want to try.

Tatuaje Cabinet Tainos. Tatuaje Cabinet Tainos Cigars are the brain child of Pete Johnson who relied heavily on Jose Garcia, a Cuban expatriate who has his own cigar factory in Miami. El Rey de los Habanos employs a dozen master rollers of Cuban decent. So well crafted are these cigars that to look at them you could swear that they came from Havana itself. The tobacco for the Tainos comes from Nicaragua, and the flavor is so impressive; nuttiness tempered with vanilla; that the Tatuaje Cabinet Tainos cigars rated #4 out of 25 in the Top 24 Cigars list of 2005 put out by Cigar Aficionado, an amazing achievement for an American made cigar.

Tatuaje Cigars

Tres Hermanos. The Tres Hermanos cigar is made at The Cigar Factory New Orleans. While relatively new as cigar factories go (it opened its doors in 1998), the quality is not to be denied. One of three different cigar lines that The Cigar Factory New Orleans produces, Tres Hermanos has a spicy aroma whose flavor oscillates between cedar and cinnamon/nutmeg and is packed into a Mexican maduro wrapper.

Tres Hermanos UNO

All of the cigars made at The Cigar Factory New Orleans are freshly wrapped, which means they will smoke even better if you let them age in your humidor for at least a few weeks if not a few months before you smoke them.

What are the best cheap cigars available? Well, that depends on a number of things; primarily on your definition of the word “cheap.” While there are some who would not blink at spending $10.00 or more per cigar (and consider it a bargain), there are plenty who cannot justify more than a few dollars per cigar given their current budget, but who are just as anxious for a good, satisfying smoke as those with money to (pardon the expression) burn.

Finding the Best Cheap Cigars:

Finding the best to rated cigars that don’t cost a heap of money does not necessarily mean that you have to give up quality of flavor, and while every true guitar aficionado knows just how expensive the best Cuban cigars can be, there are a number of alternatives that can be had for less than $4.00 each; a price that won’t break the bank, but for which you can still acquire a smooth and tasteful smoke.

The cigars listed below may not be available at every grocery checkout, but by doing a little research you should be able to find these in a Tobacco or Cigar shop. If not, check the brands out online and see if you can find a good quality supplier who does not charge a great deal for shipping and handling.

Drew Estate Java Maduro Wafe

At $3.80, the Drew Estate Java Maduro Wafe is actually not a bad cigar. It’s rich, smooth taste has an undertone of chocolate and cocoa and finishes up tasting like espresso – it even smells good!

Drew Estate Java Maduro Wafe

Finick’s Rum & Honey Slims

At just $1.00 apiece you may be skeptical of the Rum & Honey Slims, but they are really excellent quality smokes! With a hint of honey, these mild, rum flavored cigars have an easy draw and will have you hooked in no time.

Finick’s Rum & Honey Slims

Another very inexpensive cigar, Finck’s Cheroots Toro is only $1.65, but tastes like it should cost much more. It’s light pepper and cedar flavor is decidedly smooth and never goes bland.

Finck’s Cheroots Toro

Helix Remix Amaretto Petite Corona

At $2.65, the Helix Remix Amaretto Petite Corona has a very flavorful wrapper that smells good even before you light it up. The underlying almond and amaretto flavor will have your taste buds popping.

Helix Remix Amaretto Petite Corona

La Gloria Cubana Wavell

At $4.00 even, the La Gloria is the most expensive cigar on this “cheap” cigars list. Its cedar undertone and peppery ending makes it a very satisfactory smoke.

La Gloria Cubana

Rum Runner Buccaneer

The Rum Runner Buccaneer is, at $2.20, a very good deal when it comes to flavor and fullness. Its light rum flavor is incredibly rich and it even comes with a good tasting wrapper.

Rum Runner Buccaneer Cigars

Drew Estate Java Maduro

At $380, the Drew Estate Java Maduro is rather bigger than the Wafe, and while not quite as satisfactory, it is a good deal for the price and size, and its smooth cocoa flavor will make you a fan.

In this article we will reveal our picks for the 5 best cigars, and why we consider them the top rated cigars in the world…

Cigars can vary greatly in taste and quality. Some will have been better constructed using finer quality tobacco than others. Cigar connoisseurs will be able to tell a good cigar from its look, its feel, its smell, its taste, and how well it smokes. There are hundreds of brands of cigar available in a range of prices. The following list is intended to offer advice regarding the five best cigars which can be smoked.

The Padron Family Reserve Number Forty-Four is a torpedo shaped cigar with a maduro wrapper. Padron are well known for making premium quality cigars, and this is their very best. It gives an extremely dry smoke with a smooth texture. Some of the flavors which can be experienced with this cigar include cocoa, wood, and leather.

La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor Magnifico

It also has a spicy aroma. The quality of this cigar means that it is in high demand, but it is also very rare.

The next cigar on the list is La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor Magnifico, created by Don Pepin. It is a straight shaped cigar in a natural wrapper. It provides a medium bodied smoke, and a full range of flavors. Another spicy smoke, this one will will evoke hints of dark chocolate, cedar, and generally earthy tones.

The Epernay Le Matin by Illusione is another popular straight cigar. Illusione are a well respected manufacturer of cigars, and the Epernay Le Matin is lighter than their usual output. It offers a full bodied smoke, with hints of wood and nuts. It also provides a very sweet and fruity flavor. This cigar measures six and three quarter inches long, meaning that it provides asubstantial smoke.

Epernay Le Matin by Illusione

The fourth cigar on the best five list is the Cohiba Behike BHK 52. This classic Cuban cigar is short and fat, in a brown Colorado wrapper. Cohiba are one of the best known and well respected of all Cuban cigar brands. The Cohiba Behike BHK 52 ages extremely well. It offers a smoke which ranges between medium and full bodied, with a smooth and creamy texture. The flavors experienced are earthy, with a hint of coffee.

Cohiba Behike BHK 52

The final cigar on the list is the Viaje Oro Reserva VOR Number 5. Viaje are a fairly modern brand, however they have produced a highly valued smoke which is limited in its availability. It is a short cigar at only five inches long, and is extremely well crafted. Some of the flavors experienced when smoking this cigar include cocoa and spices.

We are all aware of some of the cigar smoking health risks. There are risks in smoking cigarettes, but is there any health risks associated with cigar smoking?

The Risky Business of Cigar Smoking…

Are those risks just as dangerous as with cigarettes? Research provided by the National Cancer Institute claim there are definite dangers involved with cigar smoking. Research has linked cancers of the larynx, lungs, esophagus, and oral cavity with smoking cigars. Some of the newest research shows there is a link between smoking cigars and pancreas cancers. Those cigar smokers who deeply inhale on a regular basis are at a higher risk of developing lung and heart disease.

Health risks in cigar smokers are more apparent in those who smoke on a regular basis and inhale the smoke. A smoker who smokes three or four cigars on a daily basis is eight times more likely than a nonsmoker to develop some type of oral cancer. It is unclear the exact risks of smoking only an occasional cigar. We can speculate that if smoking cigars daily puts you at risk of developing health problems.

We all know cigarettes are highly addictive, but are cigars just as addictive? It seems as though many more people are addicted to cigarettes but not cigars. All tobacco products contain nicotine, and nicotine is addictive. It’s easy to observe the effect of nicotine by looking at individuals who use smokeless tobacco such as chewing tobacco, which is addictive. Cigar smokers usually do not inhale deeply, but the nicotine is still absorbed in the mouth. Cigarette smokers; on the other hand, inhale deeply and often causing the nicotine to be quickly absorbed in the lungs. Although cigar smokers don’t inhale deeply, they still have a large amount of nicotine absorb by the body and they are still at risk for becoming addicted to cigars if smoked on constantly.

Since nicotine is addictive, why aren’t cigar smokers smoking more cigars, more often? People are aware of the addictive quality of nicotine and, therefore, avoid becoming hooked on cigars. Cigars take longer to become addicted to because less nicotine is released into the body as with cigarettes. Cigars are also more expensive than cigarettes, and are viewed as a luxury product or only enjoyed on special occasions; they are simply not used as often. The more frequent a cigar is smoked, the higher the chance of becoming addicted. Smoking any tobacco product frequently will dramatically increase the health risks.

Just A Little Off the Top: How To Clip A Cigar

What is the proper way to clip a cigar? Every cigar lover has their own personal style and method, but here are a few tips to point you in the right direction.

Here’s how to cut a cigar. First, pick up the cigar and take a look at the head of the cigar, the closed end. This is the area that will be cut. Figure out where the cap is. The cap is the area of the cigar where extra tobacco was used to close up the cigar. Finding the cap is the first part, and then you need to figure out its length. You don’t want to cut past the cap’s end, doing so can cause the whole cigar to unravel and fall apart in your hand.

Tip – How to clip a cigar: Make sure you have a high quality cigar clipper to remove the head of the cap. A poor quality clipper can fray or split the ends. You can find good clipper, made for making clean cuts, at any tobacco shop. Hold the cigar steady and make a quick, meaningful cut right over the cap. Remember less is always more, if you cut is not high enough you can always cut it down further.

everyone talk about the art of smoking a cigar. Smoke rings are a sign the smoker is no novice, he enjoys a good cigar and smokes it well. How do you learn to blow a smoke ring? Many say it’s not something that can be taught, it is something you learn on your own with time and practice. Here are some tips to at least get you started.

Aficionados explain that if you want to blow smoke rings, you first need to create some dense smoke. Suck deeply on the cigar until dense smoke fills your mouth. Hold the smoke in your mouth while slowly opening your mouth. Form a well-rounded ‘O’ with your lips, pulling back your tongue as you push out the smoke.

Do not exhale the smoke, the will push the smoke out to quickly. Simply push the smoke out of your mouth. If there is the slightest breeze in the air, it will ruin your chances of blowing out smoke rings, so make sure you practice only when the air is calm or indoors.

Choosing the Perfect Cigar: Old Cigars Versus New Fresh Cigars

Do you know the difference between old cigars and fresh cigars? Do you even know what those terms mean? If you are a new cigar smoker, you may be surprised by these terms. An important thing to note, cigars are never fresh. This means simply, it is difficult to buy a cigar right after it has been produced. Most tobacco stores will but their cigars in a proper storage unit, at the correct temperature and humidity, before placing them out for sale. The best tobacco should be aged for at least one to two years, before it is rolled into a top notch cigar.

Most cigar smokers prefer an older, more vintage cigar. Or an aged cigar. Why is that? The age of the cigar is a big factor in the taste of cigars; and it is simply a matter of preference as well. How long do vintage cigars last before losing their flavor? The key is in the storage in a quality humidor. Keeping cigars at a constant state of 70 degrees and 70% humidity, will keep them fresh for years.

If an old cigar is stored incorrectly and dries out, can it be saved? Yes, it can be restored and the flavor saved, but the process needs to be done with patience as it is a slow, careful process to re-humidify it (or put moisture back into the cigar).

A Simple Guide To The ‘Types of Cigars’…

If you are new to cigar smoking, the vast selection of styles and sizes can be bewildering at first. The first thing you should know is cigars are broken down into two categories: parejos and figuardos.

The first group, parejos, are cigars which are, for the most part, straight. Parejos are divided into three subcategories: corona, panatela, and Lonsdale. Coronas are probably the most popular and come in a variety of styles to choose from. They are known for their round head and open foot, or tip. Panatelas are longer and thicker than Coronas. Lonsdales are longer than Coronas as well, but they are the thinnest of the three.

Figurados are the second main category of cigars. Figuardos are more irregular in shape and not exactly straight, as if they are each made by hand to be only slightly off. Belicoso cigars are the smallest of the figuardos. They have small, rounded heads, and a larger foot. The Pyramid has, as the name would suggest, a pointed head which taper off to a large foot. The Perfecto cigar is tapered on the head and feet and thinner in the middle. The Diademas is the largest of the figuardos and is commonly known as the ‘giant’ among cigars as it is eight or more inches longer than any other cigar.

What’s worse: Cigars versus Cigarettes
Everyone is aware of the health risks involved with smoking cigars and cigarettes, as well as, the dangers of secondhand smoke. Which is worse though, cigars or cigarettes? Since cigar smokers don’t inhale, do they have the upper hand over cigarettes? It turns out the answer is not as simple as once thought.

How Much and How Often

The National Cancer Institute gathered research on both cigarettes and cigars and discovered the health risks are linked to frequency of use. That means it doesn’t matter whether you prefer smoking cigarettes or cigars, it’s how often and how much you smoke in general. People who are daily cigarette smokers have a greater chance of developing cancer than the occasional cigar smoker. However, research shows cigars have more carcinogens than cigarettes. Cigars also emit a much more toxic smoke, posing a greater danger for those who may inhale the secondhand smoke. This is mostly due to the cigar being larger than a cigarette and therefore would emit more smoke.

Don’t Breathe Deeply

The largest debate seems to stem from the matter of inhaling nicotine from either cigars or cigarettes. Most cigar aficionados claim cigars are less dangers simply because they don’t inhale as deeply as cigarette smokers, keeping most toxins out. The National Cancer Institute’s research showed both cigar and cigarette smokers were equally exposed to dangerous carcinogens and it didn’t matter if they inhaled or not. Inhaling damages the lungs; you can still expose carcinogens to the mouth, tongue, larynx, and throats without inhaling. By simply holding an unlit cigar or cigarette in your mouth, exposes them to carcinogens. Saliva comes in contact with the cigar or cigarette when they are smoked, which means carcinogens are being swallowed. Swallowing carcinogens further exposes the throat, larynx, and esophagus to toxins. There appears to be no difference between the amounts of carcinogens swallowed by either cigar or cigarette smokers. Meaning, they both hold the same risk of getting oral and esophageal cancer.

Health risks seem are related to how deep someone inhales the smoke in either cigars or cigarettes. Most cigarette smokers inhale more deeply and more often, putting them at a higher danger of developing larynx cancer. To give a more clear idea of how inhaling relates to health risk, the National Cancer Institute states the lung cancer risk to be the same for a person who smokes a pack a day and a person who smokes five cigars a day.
